Ch. Maywood's Rite of Shelterwood x Stands With Fists II Winchinchala

Our venture into boxer-ownership began with the purchase of our first boxer "Cassius" Shelterwood's Golden Gloves, a gorgeous flashy fawn male with all the characteristics of a champion.   He's got a certain charm that when he looks at you, you just cannot help but give him the attention he's asking for.  While he will not carry a "Ch" in front of his name, he will always be a champion in our eyes.  He garnered many Best Veteran Dogs in Specialty, and he and Katrina titled in Rally, a first for both.  We could not have asked for a more beautiful dog with more personality or love for life.  This big guy is the epitome of boxer temperment, sweet yet protective and ever so patient. He is the reason we fell in love with the breed. He taught us so much, not just about boxers, but how to care for someone other than ourselves.  He was our first "child", and made us a family.
