AKC Champion and International Champion, Nikita (Nikki for short) is a beautiful brindle girl with a pretty head, a great topline and tailset, tight cat-like feet and attitude like no other. She's a fiesty girl that demands attention where ever she goes, and we are extremely proud to call her our first AKC Champion! Nikki consistently placed first or 2nd in her class as a pup even taking a few Reserves from the 6-9 class! At 15mos, her 3rd weekend out with new handler Kimberlie Steele, Nikki goes Winners Bitch, and garners her first 2pts! At 16mos, Nikki and I took our very first Best of Breed, owner-handled at the Mensona KC in Santa Rosa, CA. In just a few short months with Kimberlie, Nikki earned her AKC Championship, w/ a big 4pt major (during a specialty weekend) going WB, BOW and BOS over specials to finish up! She also took a very competitive 5pt major along the way to her championship. Nikki, like her father Woody, exuded showmanship in the ring, and though she stands at the smaller end size standard for boxer girls, her attitude makes her 10ft tall.
When Nikki came home, she and I took the IABCA (International All Breed Canine Association) by storm. We quickly earned 4 V-1 ratings (Judges: Ralph Price, USA; John Crowton, Can; Bud Haverstock, Can, and Donnell Richards, USA) to earn her International Championship, along with 4 BOB's and a competitive Group 2 under Canadian Judge Karmsten Kaemling. Though Nikki may make an appearance here and there in the ring, she is very much retired, and happy to be home snuggling on the couch or in our bed, laying by the fire, or perched on a windowsil watching the world go by. Her antics make us laugh each day, and her attitude keeps us on our toes.
Nikki met and exceeded all our expectations as our very first show dog, and now she's passing on the torch to her kids. Out of her very fist litter, she already has 1 AKC/UKC/IABCA Puppy Champion "Brutus", and 2 more daughters (Penny & Maeby) also showing lots of promise! We are very excited about her 2nd and final litter, click *HERE* for information on the litter. Look for son Dexter and daughters Peli and Jenga to hit the show rings here in California!
*Flash* At the IABCA Golden State Fall Sieger, Nikki enters the ring w/ her daughter Penny (aka Mini-Nik) for our very first time in Brace. It wasn't easy handling 2 fiesty girls, but I am happy to report that Nikki and Penny walked away with Reserve Best Brace in Show! Pic1, Pic2, Pic3 and lastly, Pic4, lounging ringside.
Nikki also entered the Zuchtgruppe (stud dog/brood bitch competition) and went best Zuchtgruppe in show being shown w/ her two daugters Penny and Jenga, and baby boy Dexter! See their proud family photo *here* |
