Week 7 was another scorcher, we spent most of the week trying to keep cool. It was however it was still a very busy week for the puppies. It was the first time we had tried grinding nails, and i'm happy to say that everyone did wonderfully, not too much fussing, and no crying. The pups tried un-soaked kibble for the first time after showing much interest of the "big dog's" food bowls. The president of our boxer club was nice enough to make the drive down to us, and help evaluate, and get some wonderful stacked shots of the babies! (Thank you Diane! your expertise & oppinions are much appreciated!). On Sunday (the day after they turned 7wks), we took a car trip down to San Jose (which they did wonderful on, no upset tummys not much crying) to have the pups temperament tested by a friend's trainers, and i am very proud to say that each pup tested wonderfully; even temperaments, very socialized, which is what you want in a pup at this age. After the testing, we were graciously invited to come play at one of the trainer's homes. There they got to zoom around the large grassy portion of her yard, play in the sprinkler (which Nikki thoroughly enjoyed as well), and they even got to stand on the first step of her pool. Sandy took it one step further and fell into the pool, luckily right next to me, and there was no harm done, she was out running around again, albiet, a bit more aware of the edge of the pool! They thoroughly enjoyed chasing eachother around the grass, getting all wet in the sprinkler, and running around the rest of her yard. They were pooped pups to say the least, and were sleeping within 2min of being crated in the car, and even continued to sleep when we got home. . ahh, the peace and quiet!
