Week 5 arrived too quickly, and the puppies have graduated out of their whelping box into a crate and ex-penned area. We've included a kiddie-pool to be used as their litter box, which they have taken to quite quickly. Though they do potty outside the pool at times, we hope that by the time they are 8wks, they will be potty trained and ready to go to their new homes! We had our first stack attempts as well this week! (see below) Though we didn't get fantastic shots, the pups are getting comfortable up on a grooming table and we think it won't be long until they're stacking like little show dogs! Pups are spending more time out and about, exploring different parts of the condo. Nikki continues to allow the babies to nurse, and has started to teach them puppy manners. Uncle Cassius and Big Brother Brutus have both been chew toys, and mistakenly nursed on.. but they're both very tolerant and gentle with the babies. The babies really enjoy playing & wrestling, chewing on anything they can sink their baby teeth into, and getting little puppy zoomies around the living room.
