When FuFu was born (known as Andre at the time) there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was the largest pup of the litter, he was known as Andre the Giant. To this day, he has not relinquished his crown. At 1yr old, he already stood taller than his Mother Nikki, and at 18mos is noticeably taller than his Uncle Cassius, and he still has lots of filling out to do. As the weeks went by and the litter got older, Richard's parents fell more in love with Fu's cute mug, and by the time he was 5wks old, they had made it known to us that the only place Fu was going was to their house in Sacramento. This works out perfect for us, as we get to see him a few times a month, and we can have family reunions all the time. Nikki enjoys seeing her rambunctious boy, and is still teaching him to mind his manners, to which he is quick to obey.
In many asian cultures, white animals are regarded as special, and boy this big white boxer certainly is. Though they never officially registered him, Richard's mom had picked out the name of "FuFu" because in Chinese, "Fu" means "Good Fortune". Being such a large, strong dog, at times Fu can be a handful, but in most cases, he likes to think he is as little as his old Pomeranian Uncle Gizmo, who he shares his house with. He is a wonderful example of the boxer, lots of bone, yet still elegant, a great outgoing attitude, very strong head and a silhoutte that makes you say "Wow". We know had he been more than 2/3's brindle (he's got a few small brindle spots on his ears), he would have finished his championship easily. He is set apart from all others with goofy nature and his signature "punk rock" eyeliner!
We are definately White Boxer Friendly, and do not support the culling of white puppies at birth. (thankfully the majority of breeders as well) Fu is such a character, and makes us laugh each time we visit. He's certainly made his way into Richard's parents and ours couches, beds and into our hearts. We could not imagine not having him around, and all that we would have missed out on.
